NEWPORT hip hop group Urban Legends are playing a free gig at the city’s Riverside Tavern with reggae band Monsterhand tomorrow night from 8pm.
Comprising of three rappers, Loryder, Daflexa and Jay-B and a DJ called Ruffcutz, Urban Legends sometimes use the vocal talents of a Cardiff folk singer Amy Slater. Together for a year ago, they share a love for old school hip hop and write and produce all their own material.
They are well-known on the Newport music scene and have played at Le Pub, The Riverfront and Newport Centre.
Going from strength to strength, they have two festivals lined up so far, this year, Llandovery’s Small Nations Festival in July and the Oxjam Festival in Brecon.
