THIS month you can enjoy theatre in the sunshine with performances taking place at the scenic grounds of Abergavenny Castle.
Three outdoor performances - based on popular texts - will be staged at the ruins throughout August.
It kicks off with a 2-hour performance of The Midnight Gang at 4pm on 17 August.
This family friendly piece is based on David Walliams' book about a gang of children's adventures whilst the world sleeps, and produced by Heartbreak Productions.
The same company will also air their production of Pride and Prejudice, based on the book by Jane Austen.
Starting at 7pm, Heartbreak Productions will give the audience an introductory lesson in manners and etiquette of the time period, before the 2-and-a-half hour performance on August 22.
Ending the season, is a performance of The Importance of Being Earnest at 7pm on August 31.
Based on the work of Oscar Wilde, and produced by The Pantaloons, this two-hour performance will feature witty words, snappy new songs and give a contemporary twist to the play which first premiered in 1895.
It’s sure to be a thrilling season in delightful surroundings, with guests advised to bring blankets, seating, and suitable clothing.
Tickets are available now, costing £14 for an adult, £8 for a child, or £40 for a family ticket which accommodates 2 adults and 2 children.
To book tickets, phone Abergavenny Museum on 01873 854282.
