CHILDREN can take part in cycling camp coached by Tredegar’s Paralympic gold medallist Mark Colbourne this summer.
Young people of all abilities aged between ten and 16, are encouraged to take part in the event on July 31 at the Wales National Velodrome in Newport.
Held in partnership with PG10 Coaching and Tredz Bikes, the event will offer each cyclist the opportunity to be coached by Colbourne and other top coaches.
Children will also get the chance to take part in various cycling challenges and workshops.
Mark Colbourne MBE said “The camp is a great way for children and young people to take part in cycling at all levels of ability, it is important that our next generation lead a healthy lifestyle get active and enjoy cycling as much as possible.
"By taking part in the camp will help develop every child and inspire them to be involved in cycling while elite players can be nurtured and given opportunities to go the next level!”
Participants will receive a free T-shirt and have the chance to have a photo opportunity with the gold Paralympic medallist.
Registration is 11.00am with the camp starting at 12.00pm and finishing at 6.00pm and booking is required.
