AN INQUEST for a woman who was found unconscious at a Newport psychiatric hospital earlier this month was opened and adjourned today.
Sarah Louise Price, who was 23, died on February 2. She had been found on a ward at St Cadoc’s Hospital in Caerleon but was pronounced dead at 2.24pm.
A post mortem examination was carried out at the city’s Royal Gwent Hospital and found multiple causes of death including asphyxia, breathing in a restrained space, cerebral palsy and depression.
Gwent coroner David Bowen adjourned the inquest for two months but allowed her body to be released to her family for funeral purposes.
