A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said an ambulance has taken the man to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.
They sent two rapid response cars, a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an ambulance.
They left the scene at 4.30pm

A MAN has been rescued by firefighters after falling down a 30ft embankment in Tredegar.
Fire crews from Ebbw Vale, Malpas and Tredegar rescued the man using a basket stretcher after he fell down an embankment at Waundeg in Nantybwch.
The Welsh Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called at 3.15pm today and left the scene at 4.04pm.
