A MAN has been rescued after falling into the River Clydach in Monmouthshire.
Specialist fire and rescue crews from Bridgend used boats and line rescue equipment to rescue the man, who had fallen into the river in Gilwern at around 2pm.
He was taken to hospital afterwards and a spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed he was “conscious and breathing”.
