FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze on the Second Severn Crossing today when a camper van burst into flames.
Crews from Malpas and Maindee were called at 12.19pm and no one was trapped in the vehicle.
The fire was extinguished at 13.04pm and the a South Wales Fire and Rescue spokesman confirmed “the driver was with the vehicle”.
Crews also made a gas cylinder safe at the scene and classed the fire as accidental.
