THE family of Adam Millett have paid tribute to the 26-year-old, calling him 'a wonderful daddy, son, brother and uncle'.

In a joint statement, the family said: "Our Ad, such a wonderful daddy, son, brother, uncle and loved by all his friends and family.

"Our lives will never be the same again. Shine brightly!"

His brother and sister added: "Thanks for being the best brother in the world and my best friend we love you Ad! KEEP IT PINNED!"

TRIBUTES have been paid to a Pontypool man who died following a two vehicle crash in Blaenavon on Friday afternoon.

Adam Phillip Michael Millett, 26, was airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff following the collision, but later died.

The incident, involving his silver Renault Megane and an Iveco Flatbed lorry, occurred, at Garn Yr Erw, near Blaenavon, on the B4246.

Floral tributes have been left at the side of the road for the 26-year-old, while family and friends have taken to social media to leave messages of sympathy and support.

“I'm still trying to wake up from this nightmare," said Liz Billings on Facebook. "Seeing my family so heart broken and thinking of what to do next is just devastating."

“It was an honour to call you my cousin, I've been left with some lovely memories of the short time you had here.

“He only takes the best and sadly for us this time it was you. We will love you always and you'll never be forgotten.”

Kingsley Gould wrote: “I looked up to you like a brother and wanted everything you had."

“Like they always say they take the best ones first and that’s true,” added Mr Gould, who also said he left flowers in honour of Mr Millett.

Nathan Nash said: “It feels like a dream that I was laying flowers for you bro and in the morning I'm going to wake up and it was all a crazy dream.

“I can't believe what's happened. I would have never thought this day would come. Sleep tight my old friend.”

A spokeswoman from Gwent Police said yesterday: “On Friday September 30, at approximately 12.15pm, Gwent Police received a report of a collision involving a Silver Renault Megane and an Iveco Flatbed Lorry.

"The driver of the Renault Megane, a 26-year-old man from the area was taken by air ambulance to the University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, where he sadly passed away.

"The family of the deceased are now being supported by specialist officers."

The driver of the lorry, a 25-year-old from Cardiff, sustained minor injuries, it was added.

Gwent Police is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any information relating to it to call 101, quoting log: 171 30/09/16.
