Body of a man found in River Wye
A BODY of a man has been found in the River Wye in Chepstow.
The body was recovered from the Wye near to Broadrock at 10.40am yesterday during a SARA training exercise.
A spokesman for SARA said: "A body was found on a bank of the Wye, during a routine SARA land search training exercise and reported to the police.
"Following consultation with the police, two SARA lifeboats were despatched from Beachley.
"The body was recovered by lifeboat and subsequently handed over to the Police and Coastguard.
Gloucester Police confirmed the man has not yet been formally identified and the coroner has been informed.
