TRAFFIC has been brought to a standstill near Tredegar Park in Newport after a van caught fire near the roundabout.
Congestion has been reported on the A48 and the A467 Forge Road following the "accidental" fire on the Junction 28 roundabout.
The fire was put out by a single fire engine at around 1pm but gridlock is still being reported on the surrounding roads.

A spokeswoman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 13.02 South Wales Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a vehicle fire near the Tredegar House roundabout, Newport.
"One crew from Duffryn attended and extinguished a van that was well alight, using a hose reel jet and small gear.
"Stop message was received at 13.19 and the cause of the fire was accidental."
