EMERGENCY services have confirmed one person was taken to hospital following a vehicle fire on the M4.
They were taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital after firefighters tackled the blaze, which happened between Junction 24 and Junction 23A on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesman for South Wales Fire Service confirmed a vehicle was “severely damaged” in the incident (pictured above).
Gwent Police and Welsh Ambulance Service also attended the scene of the accident, which temporarily closed all lanes of the M4 Eastbound, causing traffic delays.
