PICTURES have emerged of a car fire outside a block of residential Newport flats this morning.
The fire, outside a block of flats on Hargreave Drive in the Malpas area of Newport, was reported at 7.30am on Thursday, January 24.
Fire fighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene after being alerted by a member of the public.
A crew from Malpas arrived at Hargreaves Drive, and used one hose reel to put out the flames.

The service confirmed the stop message was received at 7.53am.
Pictures taken from a nearby flat show the blue Vauxhall Astra engulfed in flames.
Another picture shows the damage caused, with smoke still coming from the charred remains.
Gwent Police confirmed they attended to assist with recovery.
They added that enquiries were "ongoing".
