THERE were dramatic scenes of a burning vehicle in Crymych on Tuesday afternoon captured on camera.
Nobody was reported to have been injured in the fire, and it was dealt with promptly by the fire service.
"We live next to the school, and just before 5pm we heard a loud explosion," said local resident Helen Lee.
"On looking out of the window, we saw a transit like van being completely engulfed in flames.
"Luckily no one was hurt. The local fire engine was on the scene in minutes, and quickly extinguished what was a huge fire.
"It was so intense at one point that the nearby trees were beginning to burn.
"The fire took place in daylight, it was so intense and bright, that the camera exposure darkened the background."
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed thatr they received a call requesting assistance from The Fire Service at approximately 5pm on Tuesday, October 26 to a vehicle fire on the A478 near Crymych.
"Police attended to assist with traffic whilst The Fire Service dealt with the vehicle," said a police spokesperson.
"The road was closed until approximately 7:30pm. Due to no suspicious circumstances surrounding the vehicle fire, no further police action is required."
