AROUND 150 walkers, all dressed in pink, were spotted in Newport today as they walked miles in aid of a local hospice.
This was the second annual Pink Fizz walk organised by St David's Foundation Hospice Care.
Some walkers chose the 13.1 mile circular walk which started from the University of Newport's City Campus at 10am and went past Tredegar Park, Newport Castle and the canal near the Fourteen Locks Centre.
Others joined in half way along in Rhiwderin at 12pm for a six and a half mile walk.
Around 150 people took part in total with volunteers from the Muslim Youth Association acting as marshals.
Walkers had the choice of wearing a pink or green t-shirt but some opted for fancy dress with some rabbits and even pink smurfs spotted along the route.
Each walker was given some water and an energy bar which were donated by Tesco in Spytty and they also received a certificate on completion.
Those taking part included St David's Foundation nurse Gwen Harries.
Sisters Julie Green and Amanda Haviland from Newport also took part and decided to sign up after the hospice cared for their father Eric Haviland who died three years ago.
Ms Green, who has also done an abseil in aid of the charity, said: "We just wanted to give something back."
