FIRE crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended a number of incidents overnight, dealing with nine car accidents overall.
An injured woman was extricated by fire crews following a collision involving a car and a telegraph pole on Star Road in Penperlleni at 6.07pm.
Another woman managed to free herself from a car following a crash near the Horse and Jockey Inn on Usk Road in Pontypool at 6.50pm.
Three walking wounded were treated by paramedics following an incident involving three vehicles on Garn Road in Blaenavon at 7.41pm.
A vehicle was deliberately set on fire on the Mountain Road at the British Talywain at 10.05pm – crews from Abersychan attended and used one hosereel.
Crews from Cwmbran responded to assist when a tree fell on a house in Coed Eva, Cwmbran at 10.45pm, although no one was hurt.
A van was deliberately set on fire on Springfield Industrial Estate at 11.36pm, the Cwmbran crew attended using one hosereel and breathing apparatus.
