FORMER Wales and Newport scrum-half Onllwyn Brace has died at the age of 80.
Two of Brace’s nine caps came as captain, leading them to success both times against Ireland in 1960 and 1961.
The scrum-half from Pontarddulais played for the Black and Ambers between 1953 and 1957, making 61 appearances and scoring nine tries.
He made his Wales debut in 1956 and also played for Aberavon, Llanelli and Oxford University.
