SWANSEA City defender Curtis Obeng has left Rodney Parade as he seeks a move away from the Liberty Stadium, writes Michael Pearlman.
The 25-year old made six appearances for the Exiles on loan, but is now departing as he seeks pastures new in January.
Manager Justin Edinburgh confirmed the news as he digested the fact that central defender Andrew Hughes has been ruled out for the season.
“We were never likely to be able to do anything permanently with Curtis, in terms of the boys’ wages,” he explained.
“Curtis feels he has one or two options for a permanent move elsewhere, so he’s going back to Swansea so he can explore that. We wish him well.”
