WHAT a great experience the past week has been... what can I say? Going to America and beating Bernard Hopkins in his own back yard, meeting one of my favourite actors, Al Pacino, and having Tom Jones singing the Welsh national anthem before the fight. It was all quite surreal!

It's been a mad few days. I touched down on Tuesday and spent a few days back home before flying out to the Caribbean yesterday with my girlfriend for a well-deserved break!

So what's next for me? I met Roy Jones Junior at the press conference after my fight with Hopkins. He is a nice guy who I'm sure wants to do business.

He is a massive name in America. Jones Jnr is a box office fighter and box office fighters equal big dollars.

I've spent ten years at the top as a champion and now it's my time to make the money.

Another name in the frame is Kelly Pavlik and I think that would be some fight.

But that would mean he has to overcome my stablemate Gary Lockett when Pavlik defends his WBO and WBC middleweight titles against him in the States in June.

I think Gary has got a real chance against Pavlik. He's got nothing to lose and the one thing Gary can certainly do is hit.

The outcome of this fight is far from a foregone conclusion.

I want one more super-fight but ask me again after that if I'm going to retire.

A great way to bow out would be in front of my home fans at the Millennium Stadium - I've also made no secret that one of my goals is to fight at Madison Square Garden - but I'll go wherever the money takes me.

Another name being mentioned is Antonio Tarver but it seems this guy just wants to jump on the bandwagon.

Tarver was totally taken apart by Hopkins and he beat a below par Clinton Woods earlier this month.

Tarver is just going to have to join the queue. He's just not got the reputation or kudos to join me.

The build up to last week's fight was incredible. I just happened to be staying at the same hotel - the Planet Hollywood - as Pacino, who was in Las Vegas for the premiere of a film he's starring in.

I had no idea he was a fan - well it's not as if I bump into him in Newbridge!

It was great to meet him - it was just by pure coincidence - and a bit weird!

It was arranged for us to meet and we spent a few minutes chatting.

The fight itself was messy. Hopkins tried to steal it. Fair play, he got the first good shot in and knocked me down but I had to show I have a big heart - champions always do.

I had to dig deep. He was holding a lot and trying to spoil.

He was shamming and putting in some low blows. I don't think the ref handled things entirely in my favour!

It wasn't a pretty fight but it was never going to be.

I had to attack and throw the punches - I landed a 100 more than he did - and I was the one who was rewarded.

My boys Joe and Conner were there to watch me. Conner got a bit nervous after the first round and he had Enzo Maccarinelli looking after him.

Both Joe and Conner enjoy seeing their dad win.

And finally, I couldn't end this column without saying a big thanks to my fantastic fans - both those who travelled to Vegas and made it a home from home for me and conducted themselves impeccably, and those at home who stayed up to watch in the early hours of the morning. You have been magnificent.
