NEWPORT County AFC captain Matthew Dolan has completed a loan move to Hartlepool United until the end of the season.
Midfielder Dolan has been with County since summer 2017 and has played in almost 200 league games.
A County spokesman said: "Over the course of his time at Rodney Parade, Matty has represented us in two League Two Play-Off finals as well as being a key member of our side in our memorable FA Cup runs.
"Matty has been permitted by the club to move back up to his native Teeside due to personal reasons, with him and his partner recently welcoming a new member to their family.
"We wish Matty all the best in his loan spell at his hometown club and thank him for his fantastic service to Newport County over a number of years."
