GLAMORGAN have called for the quicks for their must-win Friends Provident t20 clash with Surrey at the Swalec Stadium this evening (6.30pm start).

The Dragons have handed recalls to pace pair James Harris and Shaun Tait, though the latter faces a late fitness test.

The Australian, who was called up by his country for their one-day internationals against England and Twenty20 clashes with Pakistan, has soreness in his shins.

Glam will be hoping Tait can lead the attack for a game that they simply have to win if they are to have any chance of making the knockout stages of the competition.

They are currently seventh in the table but only four wins from their remaining four games will do if they are to sneak into the quarter-finals.

Director of cricket Matthew Maynard is under pressure from his bosses for Glam to taste success, and boost the coffers, with one-day success.

But the Dragons will also hope the 20-over format does not undo their good work in the County Championship.

They top the table in Division Two but their promotion bid suffered a blow this week when they were thrashed by 10 wickets in Northampton.

But Glamorgan are next in four-day action against Leicestershire in Swansea on July 21 so can devote their attention to the crash, bang, wallop of T20.

They take on Kent in Canterbury on Sunday before rounding off their campaign with home fixtures against Somerset on Wednesday and Kent once more a week on Friday.

However, those games could be dead rubbers unless the Dragons produce the goods this evening.

Glamorgan: J Allenby, M Cosgrove, J Dalrymple (captain), T Maynard, B Wright, G Rees, D Brown, M Wallace (wicket-keeper), J Harris, D Cosker, R Croft, C Ashling, S Tait.
