Why not get involved this New Year, grab your best whites, and hit the beach to admire the fireworks as they light up the horizon. You can join in with other local traditions such as washing yourself in the ocean and throwing flowers into the surf in the hope that they will drift off into the ocean letting you know your dreams and prayers for the coming year will be answered by the African-Brazilian goddess Umbanda.
