As part of their eagerly awaited 50th anniversary tour, The Pretty Things announce a concert at The Globe in Cardiff.

Back in the early 1960s, three bands led the British beat boom: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Pretty Things – with The Pretty Things the wildest and most dangerous of them all.

Constantly evolving since day one, their hard-edged blues-rock, influenced by Bo Diddley and Jimmy Reed, transformed into psychedelic rock...and then their groundbreaking SF Sorrow was the first ever rock opera, preceding The Who’s Tommy by six months.

Still fronted by lead singer Phil May and original Rolling Stones’ guitarist Dick Taylor, The Pretty Things have lost none of their power or edge. This year sees their 50th anniversary and The Globe is proud to be part of the celebrations.

They are supported by Aberdarebased indie rockers The Broken Vinyl Club, who have been impressing audiences nationwide with their close harmonies and masterful arrangements.

Don’t miss an opportunity to see one of the greatest ever rock bands as they perform their diverse and unfettered, energetic repertoire.
