TWIN brothers John and Edward Grimes have made history all over the world – and are still proving that dreams do come true.
The dynamic duo were the first Irish act to represent Ireland in two consecutive Eurovision song contests in 2011 and 2012.
The identical twins – who we all know and love as Jedward – did Ireland proud in both years.
In 2011’s contest in Germany they finished in eighth place – Ireland’s best showing since 2000.
They followed this up with 19th place in the 2012 contest, which was held in Azerbaijan.
On their return from Azerbaijan were welcomed home at Dublin Airport by thousands of fans.
Their star has never been higher, and never have the 21-year-old brothers been more in demand.
They have joined Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor to fill in for Olly Murs on the hit spin-off show and were given the honour of carrying the Olympic Torch during the Irish leg of its journey.
Irish channel RTÉ also commissioned two series of their popular children’s TV show Jedward’s Dream Factory.
In 2011 they competed in Celebrity Big Brother, but now the boys’ TV career takes a back seat as they concentrate on their music career.
As part of the tour for their their third studio album, Young Love, Jedward are on tour and come to to St David’s Hall on September 30.
