AHEAD of their appearances this weekend at the V Festival , Newport’s very own Goldie Lookin’ Chain will perform a free gig at Le Pub, Caxton Place, Newport tonight.
The band, who are currently celebrating their 10th anniversary on the music scene, will be releasing their new album entitled Kings of Caerleon on September 2nd on Golddust Gramphonics / 1983 records.
Going back to their roots, GLC will be combining beats and rhymes in their own inimitable style to create the ultimate collection of rap essentials designed for playing loud.
Tickets for the free Le Pub event are available via Diverse Records Newport (01633 259661) or through seetickets.com and are limited to 2 per person. (You may need to check if any are still available on Thursday morning!) There will also be further chances to catch the band live in October and November in Bristol, Swansea and Gloucester, although their Cardiff Globe date on October 25 has now been sold out.
Information on other venues is available from youknowsit.co.uk
