Cardiff-raised trumpeter Chris Hodgkins returns to Wales to play dates with his accomplished four piece jazz outfit. Chris leads his quartet comprising Alison Rayner double bass; Max Brittain guitar and Diane McLoughlin soprano/alto sax through a selection of tunes from his previously released albums, plus the Quartet will be playing a range of new material from standards, with arrangements from Max Brittain, to bebop anthems to original tunes contributed by the band members Alison and Diane.
Chris Hodgkins was awarded the Services to Jazz Award at the British Jazz Awards July 2013 and his blog www.complaintsinwonderland.co.uk has just posted its fiftieth article.
