On December 27, Newport Promotions team Mista Ifsta will present another Massive Reggae Roots Sound-clash for the yearly Urban Edge Christmas Jams with Dancehall legend Tippa Irie and Talisman plus special guests at The Courtyard in Newport.

Emerging from The Legendary Saxon - sound system that for the past 25 years and helped launch the careers of artists such as Maxi Priest, Papa Levi and Smiley Culture, Tippa Irie's "Fast Talk" Style has set him apart as an influence to a generation in the dance hall scene. Collaborating with as varied artists as The Balck Eyed Peas, Sublime and Hip hop originators Jurassic 5, the legendary British Reggae MC's back catalog of 80's and 90's classics alongside Fresh materiel and productions have ensured his place as one of the UK's most in demand Reggae performers.

Joining Tippa is the original Live reggae soul of Talisman, now reformed with the original lineup after a 30 year Hiatus. Pioneers of the Bristol Reggae sound the band have previously toured with the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Clash, now reuniting and re-educating a whole new generation of fans with the bands trademark Roots anthems for the true connoisseurs.
