Welsh singer Annelies has released her debut 4-track EP, ‘Glorious’ this month and is also fulfilling her lifetime dream by singing the Welsh National Anthem at the England v Wales 6 Nations fixture this Sunday.
Annelies, 19, says: “Singing the anthem for my country has always been my dream and now I will get to do it. I couldn't be more delighted, my wish has finally come true”.
Her debut EP is co-produced and co-written by her mentor, the singer-songwriter Steve Balsamo, and Ben Robbins who co-produced Katherine Jenkins’ debut album.
The EP includes the tracks ‘Glorious’, ‘I Believe’ and a bilingual version of ‘Calon Lan,’ as well as her version of the Welsh National Anthem.
Annelies’ biggest influences are pop artists including Florence Welch and Ellie Goulding and she describes her own sound as ‘classical-crossover’, blending classical and pop music and bringing the genre to a new generation.
