TIMES have certainly changes since George Formby was Britain's favourite performer but the intricate art of the old ukulele is still going strong as The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain promise to demonstrate.
You may have seen them on Jools Holland with Smells like Teen Spirit and at Glastonbury with thousands on their feet punching the air.
Now there's a great chance to see them at Newport's The Riverfront next month.
The all strumming, all plucking, all singing ensemble turn the key moments of rock and roll history into a head on collision between the Floyd and Wagner - a skiffle band for the 21st Century.
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain come to The Riverfront on Friday, February 8 at 8pm.
Tickets cost between £7 and £14 and they are available from the box office on 01633 656757.
