THE Bell at Caerleon will see the rafters being raised by Phil Wall and the Jazz Cardinals next Friday night.
The band bases itself on the classic bands of the 1920s and 30s and started in residency at the Black Horse Inn in Newport before moving on to a whole range of clubs, pubs and festivals throughout the country.
The name comes from Freddy Keppard's Jazz Cardinals - a band that dates back to the New Orleans of the 1920s, although Wall and friends take their inspiration from a much wider field.
They will be performing, not for the first time, in association with Caerleon Arts Festival.
They attracted a huge crowd during the 2006 Festival on the Hanbury Quay at Caerleon.
As well as enjoying the music there'll be a chance for anybody who's interested to catch up with all the latest developments at this year's Festival (July 5-13), take part in fund raising activities and offer help over the coming months.
