COLEG Gwent and the Islwyn Acoustic Guitar Club are teaming up with an array of local talent on Friday, February 29, for a charity evening.

The night of eclectic music in aid of schools in Ethiopia will be hosted at the Crosskeys Campus of Coleg Gwent, the evening consists of acoustic and electric contributions.

These include Gareth Pearson, a 19-year-old virtuoso acoustic guitarist from Cwmbran, Ian Day's Albino Frogs, a funky sax and percussion driven melodic rock, Haddonfield, an up-and-coming local punk band, Stephen Light & The Black Sand Band a vibrant and eclectic singer-songwriter and his band of supercharged musos), 2212 (Toto inspired classic rock band of ex-Crosskeys music-tech alumni) Alex Haines Trio (Cwmcarn power trio playing instrumental jazz and blues rock), Chris Harding (Iron & Wine inspired nu-folk) and contributions from Crosskeys performing arts students.

The event starts at 7pm in the main hall at the Crosskeys Campus of Coleg Gwent.
