TONIGHT folk-blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Dan Arborise is performing at the Crosskeys Hotel as a guest of the Islwyn Acoustic Guitar Club with the evening starting at 7.30pm.
Born in the Bornean jungle to Polish parents, Arborise was inspired musically by Nick Drake.
Classical trained in both piano and guitar, his debut CD Around In Circles was warmly received by the critics after its released in August 2006.
Arborise has played across the length and breadth of the UK, including festivals such as The Green Man and the End Of The Road.
Things get under way with an open mike session at 7.30pm for club members and visitors.
Arborise’s concert then starts at around 8.45pm.
Tickets cost £6 (£5 for club members and students) and will be available on the night but can be pre-booked by calling 01495 270078.
