THE Islwyn Acoustic Guitar Club hosts highly-respected folk-blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Dan Arborise to the Cross Keys Hotel on Friday, May 14 at 7.30pm.
Born in Borneo to Polish parents, the globetrotting Arborise moved to Nigeria before spending his teenage years in London.
Inspired by Nick Drake, his debut CD ‘Around In Circles’ was released in August 2006 to glowing reviews.
Arborise regularly plays at festivals across the UK and has supported John Martyn.

Expect unusual open tunings, songs that develop into instrumentals, instrumentals that grow into songs and some beautiful acoustic guitar.
Things kick off at 7.30pm with an open mic session by club members and visitors.
Arborise’s concert gets under way at around 8.45pm.
