THE legendary Bob Dylan is teaming up with guitar great Mark Knopfler for a UK and European tour this autumn.
The pair are coming to South Wales, with a gig at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on Thursday, October 13.
Dire Straits founder Knopfler is taking a break from recording his next album to take part in one of the must see shows of the year.
The Geordie axeman said he can’t wait to go on the road with the iconic Dylan.
“I’m much looking forward to going out on the road with Bob in such a special year,” Knopfler said.
“Also, it was an honour to be asked to record one of Bob’s songs on the forthcoming Amnesty International 50th anniversary album to mark his 70th birthday.”
Knopfler’s association with Dylan dates back to 1979 when he played on his Slow Train Coming sessions and then produced his acclaimed 1983 release Infidels.
Tickets cost £60, plus a booking fee, and are available from the box office on 02920 224488.
