EVANS David Lyndon 'Dai the Pie' passed away on the morning of March 9th at St. David's Hospice, Malpas. His three children, Morgan-Rhys, Hafina and Nicole are immensely proud of their father who was determined and modest to the end. The family are sad to lose such a character. Dave ran the Blaenavon Bakery on Commercial Road, living there for 53 years. He was well known for his parties, quietly rebellious tendencies and back in the day, his talents as high board diving and water-ski coach. Dave was an absolute gentleman. His funeral will be held at Langstone Vale Crematorium at 3.30pm Tuesday 29th March. No flowers please but donations to St. David's Hospice Care thankfully received at JustGiving - David Evans (Dai the Pie) or sent to c/o Tovey Bros 9/11 Cardiff Road, Newport NP20 2EH
