BISHOP Cledwyn Peacefully, on 30th March 2024, at Bryn Ivor Lodge, Cledwyn, a beloved husband of the late Esme, much loved father of Andrew and Helen, a loving uncle and dear friend of many, passed away. Funeral, Friday 3rd May at Langstone Vale Crematorium at 2.30pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired in Cledwyn's memory, made payable to the Stroke Association may be sent c/o Tovey Bros, 9/11 Cardiff Road, Newport, NP20 2EH. www.toveybros.co.uk/funeral

So sad to hear the news of Cledwyn's passing. He was my first Head of Department when I started teaching at Lliswerry HS in the 70s a position I succeeded him in. He was a huge support to me in my early days teaching and was a source of many anecdotes. RIP Cledwyn when you join Esme.
