LORD Denis Gordon

With heartfelt sadness we announce that on 31 October 2024, after a long illness borne with stoic fortitude, Denis bid the world his final farewell.

Beloved husband of the late Jean, devoted big brother of Gillian, much loved father of Kayran and the late Mark, stepfather to Nicola, respected father-in-law of Simon and Anthony and a proud and indulgent Opa.

Denis is remembered as a voracious reader always curious to learn more, a guardian of fairies and creator of idyllic childhood memories, a colourful raconteur of tall (tall) tales, an uncle, cousin, friend and “saved the world but promised never to tell” military veteran.

Honouring Denis’s wishes there will not be a funeral service. His final resting place will reunite him with his best butty Jean.
