HALF-term is nearly upon us and there’s an action-packed week of hands-on workshops, musical theatre and kids shows lined up at The Riverfront to keep little ones and teenagers entertained and the grown-ups happy.
For anyone who’s into High School Musical, Camp Rock, Hannah Montana and Glee, then the high energy production High School Rocks! is sure to get them in the mood to party on Wednesday October 31 at 2pm. Tickets are £12 with family tickets £40. Come and celebrate the sea with tall tales, silly slapstick, live music and a hilarious mix of puppetry, natural history and cabaret with The Sea Show.
Suitable for ages five+ and their families, The Sea Show is on Friday November 2 at 2pm and tickets are £6, or £20 for a family ticket. For slightly older kids, comes Universarama! (Age eight+).
Awondrously ridiculous puppet show, which explores the secrets of the universe with Professor Johnson on Friday November 2 at 7pm. Tickets are £6 with family tickets £20.
There’s plenty to keep creative minds and hands busy with the hands-on half-term workshops. Join Robin Hood Panto Workshops and help create a Robin Hood themed mural which will then be hung in The Riverfront Art Gallery from November 2012 to January 2013. The mural will be based on the Robin Hood legends and all materials will be provided. The Panto Workshops will run from Monday October 29 to Thursday November 1 from 10am-noon for ages six+ and cost £3.50 per session.
Alternatively, if you’re a budding young film-maker then join the three First Films Workshops: Six Shot Story, Fun With Foley and Sound FX’s and Drama for the Big Screen.
Running on Tuesday 30, Wednesday 31 and Thursday November 1 from11am-1pm, these workshops are suitable for age six+ and cost £4 per session with all materials provided.
