POLICE are appealing for information following reports of a man carrying out a scam in the Brynmawr and Nantyglo areas.
Officers have had reports of a man calling at houses asking to change a £20 note after claiming to have done some work for the neighbours.
On four occasions people have exchanged the money but later realised the note was a fake.
The offender is described as late teens to early 20s, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8in tall, of a slight build with short mousy brown hair.
He has been in the areas on foot but may also be using a small red van, partial index E65G or EG**.
Anyone with any information can call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
