TWO soldiers killed on the Brecon Beacons over the weekend will be remembered at the annual Armed Forces Day service in Abergavenny on Sunday. The service will be held at St Mary’s Priory Church following a march of veterans and cadets through the town.
One of the two servicemen who died in mid-Wales during the selection process for the Territorial Army’s section of the SAS on Saturday was named as Lance Corporal Craig Roberts. The second soldier who lost his life has not yet been named.
Katie Garnett, a former army signaller and member of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, will carry a Book of Remembrance and place it on the Nave Altar.
