NEWPORT Gwent Dragons rugby stars were victims of a sneak thief while they trained at Rodney Parade.
The first team squad had a host of items pinched from the Rodney Parade changing rooms while they began pre-season training.
Items taken included three mobile phones, two wallets, a set of car keys. A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and a bluetooth iPhone speaker.
Some of the furious squad took to Twitter to vent their frustration after the theft on Monday afternoon.
Wales international winger Tom Prydie said: “Phone and wallet been stolen by some scumbag today while I trained.
If you need to get hold of me do so on here #mandown.”
He then replied to new team mate, the ex-Wales scrum-half Richie Rees: “Never trust a man pushing a push chair through Rodney Parade at 1pm.”
Former Wales flyer Will Harries was another victim.
He tweeted: “If anyone sees some scumbag walking around Newport pushing a pram full of iPhones and a beatbox, please punch them in the face #thief.”
Their teammate, theWales U20 No.8 Ieuan Jones had some sage advice.
He tweeted: “You boys been robbed then! Told you boys you need your bumbags.
A Gwent police spokeswoman confirmed they were now investigating the thefts.
She said: “Officers are appealing for information following a report of items stolen from the dressing room at Rodney Parade Stadium, Newport yesterday afternoon, Monday July 15.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 387 15/07/13.”
