TWO women were taken to hospital following a rush-hour crash this morning between two-cars on Cardiff Road in Newport.
Both were taken by ambulance to the Royal Gwent Hospital as a precaution but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
The two-car collision between a black Vauxhall Astra and blue Renault Clio, happened at around 8am on the junction of Waterloo Road and Cardiff Road by the entrance to Belle Vue Park.
The eastbound side of the road was blockedand police directed traffic while queues of traffic backed up towards the turning for Harlech Retail Park. The road was cleared at 9.15am.
