A cyclist was killed in a road accident involving a minibus in Newbridge yesterday.
Police are appealing for information following the fatal road traffic collision on the A472 at Newbridge.
The collision, between a cyclist and a mini bus, happened at about 8.05pm. The cyclist and mini bus were travelling in the same direction toward Newbridge when the incident happened.
The male cyclist was been taken to the University of Wales Hospital Cardiff with serious injuries where he later died.
The 43 year old driver of the mini bus was uninjured and has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and is in custody at this time.
There were two other people in the mini bus at the time of the incident and they were also uninjured.
