A TORFAEN man whose body was found in a river in Cwmbran in June has had two criminal charges against him formally dropped.
The body of Matthew Viner, 37, of George Street, Pontypool, was found on June 7 and formally identified by his father.
A coroner's report sent to Cardiff Crown Court yesterday confirmed his death but said the cause had not been ascertained.
The case involving two charges of inflicting grievous bodily harm and harrassment was closed by Judge Eleri Rees.
