GWENT’S undefeated, two-weight world champion, has been hanging out with a Hollywood actor.

Retired Newbridge fighter Joe Calzaghe, who won all 46 of his professional fights and was a super middleweight champion for over a decade, tweeted a picture of himself and American actor Mickey Rourke, on Monday.

Mr Calzaghe wrote: “Having a coffee and a catch up with Mickey Rourke.”

The snap has set in train a buzz of speculation whether Calzaghe’s meeting Mr Rourke’s has anything to do with a potential film about the life of Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas, with Rourke playing Thomas.

Thomas has said previously he wanted Rourke to play him in the biopic of his life, while Calzaghe has previously admitted his interest in acting.
