If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

My man, Colin Elliott, or failing that Toto’s guitarist, Steve Lukather.

What is your biggest fear?

If I was to lose my voice because I’ve been singing a long time.

Do you have any superstitions?

No, not really. Mind you, I won’t walk underneath a ladder.

If you could have one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?

My latest album, Living On A Tightrope, so I could play it loud, because I love it.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including your property?

I spend big bucks on dresses – like £250 – and shoes. If I like them, I’m having them.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Be careful what you say and do on the way up in this business, because it will have you on the way down.

What’s your indulgence?

Fussell’s milk by the spoonful, and Lush soap and bath bombs.

What item could you not live without?

My phone.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

I would change my weight, as I’m tiny, so that I could be much bigger and have more of a selection in clothes.

Where are you next going on holiday?

I’m not sure yet. Wherever the album Living On A Tightrope takes me, I suppose.
