A REPLICA salmon is among sculptures unveiled at a Chepstow wood.
Year 2 pupils at Thornwell Primary contributed their ideas for the imaginative project to create improvements to Warren Slade Wood.
The project, which was overseen by Monmouthshire council’s countryside service, includes a view point with seats overlooking the River Wye and seats along the Wales Coast Path.
The pupils produced drawings on the theme of tranquillity and the sculptor, Tony Forge, transformed them into metal artworks.
Most of the resulting sculptures are small scale and have been placed in trees, creating a challenge for walkers to find them all as they walk through the woods.
The final sculpture is a large impression of a River Wye salmon.
Its scales are individually made and each one is marked with the initials of children involved in the project.
