A BACKED-up sewer system caused flooding at a house in Pontllanfraith yesterday, the fire service has said.
Fire fighters from Cefn Fforest attended the incident on Sir Ivors Road, Pontllanfraith, at 4.35pm yesterday afternoon with a submersible pump, after a day of heavy rain.
A spokeswoman from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said a sewer system at the domestic property had backed up and the fire service asked Caerphilly council and Welsh Water to attend.
They left the scene at 6.21pm.
