Coffee, cake and charity.
Catching up with friends over coffee and cake is one of life’s real pleasures. So imagine how good it feels to indulge yourself in this way and do your bit for charity at the same time?
On Friday 27 September, Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place. It’s a great opportunity to spend time with family, friends and colleagues and do something worthwhile at the same time.
All you need to do is get your friends together and ask them to donate money for coffee and cake. Whether it’s a coffee morning at work, an afternoon tea party with the girls or a great British bake off – the options are endless.
If baking doesn’t appeal, you can always fake the ooh factor with a store-brought sponge and plates of posh biscuits. Whichever type of coffee morning you hold, every penny will help Macmillan be there for more people affected by cancer.
With the number of people affected by cancer set to rise to 4 million by 2030, Macmillan needs more people than ever before to sign up and get involved.
So come on, let’s make time for something that really matters. A cup of coffee and a slice of cake really can make a huge difference.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place on 27th September – but you can hold yours whenever suits you best. To register for a free Coffee Morning Kit visit coffee.macmillan.org.uk.
