TWO people taken to hospital last night following a road collision in Ponthir.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a three vehicle crash on Caerleon Road, Ponthir at 8.17pm yesterday near to the Ponthir House Inn.
Crews removed the roof from one car to aid the release of a person.
A casualty is reported to have sustained neck, leg and back injuries.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswomen said: “We sent two emergency ambulances to the scene, and took one casualty to Royal Gwent Hospital and another casualty to Nevill Hall Hospital.”
