Rogerstone road closed after crash between car and cyclist

The female cyclist involved in the crash has been taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital with injuries, but they are not life threatening.
UPDATE: 5.20pm
HIGH Cross Lane is closed both ways due to crash between a car and a cyclist this afternoon.
The accident happened between High Cross Drive and Glasllwch Crescent.
Police are at the scene and directing traffic, which is affecting traffic travelling between Newport and Risca.
